Our Services

Modalities and Techniques:

In clinic, Ceda will use a variety of therapeutic techniques, from Chinese Acupuncture and East Asian Needle Therapy (Japanese Meridian Therapy), Classical and TCM Herbalism. Your session will involve one or more of the following:

Acupuncture needles: Tiny needles, 0.12-0.22mm thickness, inserted just under the skin. This should be relatively painless. Needles are retained for between 3 and 20 minutes, depending on your condition.

East Asian Needle Therapy (Japanese Meridian Therapy): Copper, Silver and Gold tools are applied to Acu-points, either with gentle pressure, massage or tapping.

Polarity Therapy: Gold, silver, copper & zinc tools are applied to Acupuncture points often with Ion Pumping Cords according to abdominal diagnosis.

Cupping: Glass or plastic cups are placed on areas of pain or zones related to internal issues. The suction applied improves circulation through the muscles and stretches the fascia to relax tight muscles.

Moxibustion: Moxa (refined mugwort leaf) smoulders on Acupuncture needles, or directly on herbal balm to create a lovely warmth.

Ceramic Infrared heat lamp: applied to areas of the body during acupuncture to create warmth and healing.

Herbal Medicine: Predominantly concentrated herbal powdered extracts, some tinctures, pills, balms, with option for Raw Herbal medicine where required. The herbs don’t taste nice, but are used as a combination or recipe that is tailored to your health needs.

Dietary Therapy: Ceda may provide you with some food and recipe ideas to support your treatment between visits. Ceda carries some herbal teas that help to support your treatment.

Lifestyle: Ceda may incorporate relaxation techniques such as breathing techniques and meditation ideas into your Acupuncture treatment. EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique), Acupressure & Self-massage techniques may offered to help manage your condition.
